Our client specialises in providing premium-quality vending and food services to major entertainment and sports venues including (but not limited to) stadiums, racetracks, hotels and convention centres. The company operates eight sites and concessions across the UK, with six in England (two of which are in London) and one each in Scotland and Wales. The Greenwich Arena is one such venue.
Within the Greenwich Arena, our client holds 21 food concession stands across nine brands. These feature both behind-the-counter menu boards as well as overhead screens.
The Vital team was initially tasked with looking at menu redesign and print for all of the Greenwich Arena restaurants – however the scope of the project grew considerably when Vital helped to identify a number of further opportunities during a site visit.
THE VITAL SERVICE
Following initial contact with the client at the Greenwich Arena, it was clear that the client was experiencing difficulties with their incumbent design agency. They were only a fortnight away from rolling out price adjustments across all the food stands and required updates to all their menus, across all their brands.
This was perhaps not a tall order in itself, but suddenly the brief evolved: it made sense for our client to take the opportunity to refresh the entire line of collateral, but within the same timeframe.
The Vital team visited the Greenwich Arena to scope out the client’s requirements in finer detail where we established that the current collateral in no way fulfilled the potential of each brand. We were confident that we could create far more effective communications materials for each food stand.
We prepared a proposal for the client, backed by strong portfolio evidence which included some of the work we’d produced for other major businesses. The Vital studio also produced samples of POS display material and we presented these to the Greenwich Arena team. These concepts were very well received and secured the greenlight for the entire project, which we effectively delivered on time.
The finished work included printed menus, POS and digital/animation collateral. All this was extremely well received by the Client and we are now in conversations regarding Phase II.
